Preparing The Offer To Purchase

You have found the home of your dreams...Now what?

Here is where a good agent will be worth their weight in gold. This is the crucial step in the process where you must make decisions on items such as:

The correct price to offer.

The best terms to offer.       

What inspections to require.                      

What financing to pursue.        

Your agent should guide you through the entire process. From determining the right offering  price  through the entire negotiating process. It is at this point that  you will make your offer by completing the Agreement Of Sale. Be sure to ask for explanations of anything you do not understand. Once the Agreement is complete, your agent will deliver it to the agent for the seller who will then present it to the seller. At that point the seller will have 4 options:

  1. Accept your offer as is. At this point you have a legally binding contract as soon as you or your agent is notified of the seller's acceptance.

  2. Reject your offer.

  3. Present a counter-offer.

  4. Accept an offer from another party.
