Realtor or "By Owner?"
Once
you decided the time is right to sell, your next decision is whether
to hire a Realtor or sell "By Owner". Some seller's take
the "By Owner" approach in hopes of saving money on commission.
Some seller's are able to handle the process and succeed in selling
the property. Unfortunately, they don't always save the commission.

you decide you want to hire a Realtor, your next step is to start
interviewing Realtors. Print the AGENT
INTERVIEW CHECKLIST and use it to compare prospective agents.
The Realtor you select will handle the vast majority of the selling
process. More importantly, your Realtor should act as a consultant.
This is where hiring a Realtor can actually allow you to put more
money in your pocket than if you were to sell "By Owner".
Your Realtor should be a trained professional with years of experience.
In this way, he or she can use that experience to negotiate a better
bottom line for you.
